Service was quick and great ! I got the pork belly with rice and egg on top . Calamansi drink, lumpia and pan de sal . The pork wasn't as juicy as I wanted it so that's why I'm giving it a 4 . Other wise it was pretty good.

I took my boyfriend and my friend here on a Wednesday around lunchtime, parking was fine. Street parking or park at Vons real quick haha. The bodega was really cute, there's some seating outside with shade so we ate there. The service was awesome! Really chill and very kind workers, they actually gave us an extra drink because they accidentally poured the wrong one so we appreciated that a lot! The food took a second to come out which was fine with us because we ordered so much, and they can guarantee quality because it comes out FRESH. So the wait didn't bother us at all. For the ratings: - Ube pandesal with Ube butter 10/10 A classic MUST TRY. The bread was so warm and soft yet crispy, and dipped into the whipped Ube butter? So good, gave us a little treat after eating the bowls. - Sisilog bowl / Chopped pork belly 10/10 My boyfriend is not Filipino, and he literally inhaled his sisilog bowl til there was nothing left! The bowl wasn't too salty which was super good because it wasn't overwhelming. Although my boyfriend did wish his egg was a little more undercooked since he wanted the egg yolk to spread in the rice but other than that a solid yummy bowl. Lechon kawali bowl 10/10 - Another Filipino classic. The skin was super crispy NOT hard like it was hard to bite into. It was a good crispiness. The flavor of the kawali was super good the meat was juicy and tender. Although one thing is I wish I had a little bit more of the sauce so if you're a sauce person order an extra one! Calamansi black tea 10/10 - Perfect drink to pair with all this meat and rice since it cleanses your palette! Also not super sweet which we really liked. Ube milk tea 10/10 - Different from your usual taro milk tea, not super sweet and the tea isn't overwhelming. Definitely get this if you don't want the calamansi black tea! Overall, we loved white rice! We are definitely coming back for the great food and hospitable service. Also the person on aux today had us jamming, they were playing good music for us while we ate :))

The White Rice Bodega offers fine Filipino cuisine and is located in Normal Heights. A very simple establishment situated right by the street. They have a couple of round tables with seating and umbrellas for shade. The customer service was great, but to top it all off, the food was amazing. I personally love the pork belly with fried rice and eggs. It was so delicious and affordable.

It's an okay place to eat- the food is pretty good, though it's not as flavorful as Filipino food is. It's basic silog, which is always easy to hit, but it is expensive for that. The ube cookies were okay- good but like a lot of americanized ube, didn't actually taste like ube.

My aunt wanted to try this place after seeing it on Instagram so we went. There was only one person in front of us when we got there and we got the food to-go. It was a nice spot, I think the food took us about 15 minutes and we ordered 4 different dishes (I didn't take a picture of other people's food this time). My aunt mainly wanted to go for some ube dish or dessert but all of their ube items weren't available that day. The food was really good. The chile had a small kick to it. I felt pretty full after eating the whole thing. No complaints!

Fast, casual, and delicious! To top it off, service is top notch. Definitely your friendly neighborhood comfort food joint and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone! LONGANISA was the star of the show, and it hit the spot when we didn't have time or patience to wait for any of the fancy brunch spots nearby. Ube PANDESAL was also key. Warm, fluffy, and the Ube butter made it that much better! Ube milk tea wasn't too sweet, and neither were the cookies. They were crispy on the outside but soft on the inside.
